This exquisite handmade Pichwai painting, crafted in the traditional Nathdwara style of Rajasthan, captures the divine splendor of Sharad Purnima — the sacred full moon night when Lord Krishna performed the celestial Raas Leela with the gopis. At the center of the composition, Shrinathji stands beneath a kadamba tree, flanked by devoted gopis with hands raised in joyous celebration, set against a starlit night sky illuminated by a radiant full moon, with celestial beings showering blessings from above.
Below the main darshan scene unfolds the festival of Annakut (Govardhan Puja) — a mountain of food offerings presented to the Lord, commemorating Krishna's lifting of the Govardhan Hill to protect the villagers of Vrindavan. This is seamlessly woven with the scene of Daan Leela, where devotees are shown offering their reverence amidst temple architecture, dancing peacocks, and festive splendor.
